Hi there!

I’m Kaitlyn Crutcher, and I’m a Junior at Georgia Tech majoring in Computer Science. I love exploring new things and doing anything that I can learn from, and I thrive when I can use my varied skills to create robust solutions for real problems.

Some things I’m involved in right now:

  • I’m currently a research assistant at the AI-CARING project within IPaT (Institute for People and Technology at Georgia Tech).
  • I’m the Executive Director of TEDxGeorgiaTech, which is a student-run organization dedicated to spreading ideas worth sharing through TEDx talks and other events.
  • I’m a Senior Analyst in Consult Your Community, which is a national nonprofit that provides pro-bono consulting for small businesses.
  • I’m the Marketing Manager at Equities Lab, which is a small company with a quantitative investment platform for formula-based investments.

My Work

I am media director of TEDxGeorgiaTech. My team runs the TEDx Instagram, creates materials like flyers and posters for our events, releases newsletters, and maintains the website. Our Speaker Salon this semester was themed around the idea of creating Kinetic Energy through taking action.

bloom planning app

I participated in the spring 2023 design bootcamp, and I wanted to design a planning app for college students to reduce stress and increase productivity. My app creates one platform for students to stay organized through integration with Canvas and features like homework/exam tracking, timeblocking, and event/class scheduling.

I designed the website and the product for my team’s project, Invisible Populations. We wanted to help organizations offer better help to the homeless population through forecasting areas of high houselessness population density and low current relief efforts.
